At Vivoli's, affogato is known as "La gran crema al caffè," which encapsulates the perfect contrast between sweet and bitter and hot and cold.
We are located in the historic center of Florence, a stone’s throw from Santa Croce, close to the city’s main historical monuments.
Since 1930, the same family has been creating and producing homemade ice cream with high quality ingredients and lots of passion passed down to the 4th generation.
In addition to the historic store, since 2013 Vivoli® has opened two ice cream parlors in the United States in New York and Orlando.
Vivoli Ice Cream Parlour was founded as Vivoli Dairy back in 1929. The family lived in Pelago, a town located between the plains and the mountains. Times were hard for all Italians, and one of the three brothers, Serafino, decided to try his luck by moving to Florence.
He opened the Dairy on Isola delle Stinche Street at no. 3/r in the popular district of Santa Croce. The area was full of craft stores of all kinds, and the dairy soon became a pleasant gathering place to have coffee every day and buy whipped cream on Sundays.
At Vivoli's, affogato is known as "La gran crema al caffè," which encapsulates the perfect contrast between sweet and bitter and hot and cold.
Another specialty not to be missed are the parfaits created with high-quality cream.
Our work is the transformation of raw materials into ice cream, which is considered genuine because we do not use additives, preservatives, emulsifiers and dyes.
The new generation passionately continues the pastry tradition, making "Vivoli style" cakes for any kind of event.
To sweeten any kind of event, Vivoli offers his ice cream served in the traditional cart and customized cakes following our style.
